  • Nutrition is an important part of cancer treatment. Eating the right kinds of foods during and after treatment can help you feel better and stay stronger. Dietician play important role in cancer patient:-
  • The Dieticians active in patients care and keep reporting the nutritional status of the patients as well as act as adviser to the Physicians and the medical team.
  • The Dieticians remains in touch with the patients and visit them twice daily. Normal diet, soft, semi solid, liquid, clear liquid diets and feeds are provided to the patients – all based on the nature of disease
  • In case patient is directed to have special food which is not available in the hospital or the patient insists upon having homemade food, the dietician shall educate the patient relative about the specific requirement of the patient and the precautions to be taken while preparing the diet.
  • Service for IPD patient – There are 7 meals in a day which is serve on patient demand- Bed tea ,breakfast ,pre lunch, lunch, tea time, dinner, bed time
  • Service for OPD patient – Outdoor patients comes to the hospital and Consultants refer to the dietician.
  • Dietitian performs following set of activity with each and every patient:
    • assessing nutritional status,
    • preparing diet chart,
    • checking adherence and response to diet(follow patients),
    • Counseling and educating/communicating in an easy manner satisfying all patient queries related to their diet,
    • handing over diet charts
