Bhagwan Mahaveer Hospital & Research Centre was established with the aim of providing quality services to cancer patients in Rajasthan who were forced to go to Mumbai and Delhi and had to face difficulties besides heavy financial burden due to high cost of living, transportation and treatment in Metropolitan cities. I am fully satisfied that so far we have been able to achieve this objective by investing in the project cost through donations and in turn have been able to subsidize the cost of treatment to paying patients. Besides that, poor patients are provided with free treatment facilities.
The Institution has been able to achieve significant landmarks in a short plan of time with an aim of keeping itself ahead of times. We have organized a team of well trained young oncology professionals on full time basis whereas services of well known seniors like Dr. Advani and Dr. Desai are periodically made available here to the Cancer patients at nominal cost.
With the purpose of prevention and early detection of Cancer, we have made substantial progress through fully equipped mobile van which goes in remote village areas of the state and regular camps are organized there.
An issue often raised by all and sundry is of lodging and boarding for the attendants and visitors of cancer patients coming from distant areas. A very hygienic Dharamshala has been constructed and run in the vicinity of the center which takes full care of such people at a token cost. Well-qualified and trained staff of Institution makes it a super speciality cancer hospital having significant importance in Northern India.
Above all, human touch is given to cancer treatment by our ladies wing “CANCER CARE” which is here to take care of any kind of difficulty faced by patients and their attendants.
In addition to all those who have participated in our effort to fight against cancer, I acknowledge the support given at various occasions by the State Government as well as the Central Government.
I look forward to make this Institution more and more capable by means of technology development, with enhanced quality of services and expanded facilities to provide service to the nation as a whole. I know it can not be achieved in a short period of time but certainly, dedicated and concerted efforts can make it achievable.
