Departments

  • The department of Medical Oncology is engaged in active treatment of patients suffering from acute lymphoblast leukaemia, acute myeloid leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, breast cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, hepato-biliary and pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, prostatic, urinary bladder, and kidney cancer.

  • The department of Surgical Oncology became functional in November 1997. The department has picked up in a big way with all types of major surgery being performed here from January 1999. The major part of the surgical work is in the field of head and neck cancer. This includes commando operations, maxillectomies, thryoidectomies and laryngectomies with facilities for reconstruction.

  • Radiation Oncology is a well equipped department. It became functional when Cobalt 60 teletherapy unit was installed. This is the latest version of cobalt unit - Theratron 780E, which was imported from Canada. It has the facilities which allow doctors to deliver all the possible permutations and combinations in photon teletherapy.

  • The Department of Anaesthesiology was established in April 1998 with the gradual addition of sophisticated monitoring and resuscitation equipment. The department is one of best equipped departments in the state of Rajasthan with the latest anaesthesia machine, ventilators, invasive and non-invasive monitors and fiberoptic endoscopes to manage all types of patients during a surgery.

  • The department of pathology and microbiology started functioning in 1998. Since that time it has shown remarkable progress. The department caters to the needs of the outdoor and indoor patients of the hospital, as well as to referred patients. For specialised investigations we have a tie-up with speciality Ranbaxy Labs in Mumbai.

  • The department of Radio Diagnosis was started in 1998 and right now is entirely computerised. The facilities available at inception were I.I.TV with 500 Ma X-ray and ultrasonography with superficial, abdominal, transvaginal and transrectal probes. Later mammography, orthopantomography and 60 mA mobile x-ray machine was added. The department has seen a rising trend in the investigations done.

  • The Department of Transfusion Medicine offers supply of whole blood, packed cells, fresh frozen plasma, platelet concentrates according to the need of patients. The demand for blood and its components are fulfilled by taking replacement and voluntary donations. Bank regularly conducts blood donations camps with various voluntary donation agencies.

  • The Department is executing the mission which is in maxim "Prevention is better than cure" It deals with various types of preventive health checks. Cancer detection and awareness camps are planned with the aim to diagnose cancer at early stage, to educate the massess and eradicated social menaces.

  • The department provides possible services for the diagnosis and the treatment of cancer. Its activities include: Evaluation, management of co-morbid medical diseases, Preoperational management of Onco-surgery patients, Evaluative diagnostic of patients & Critical care.
